On September 25, the 2021 China-ASEAN Vocational Education Forum and Exhibition of Successful Cooperative Programs was held in Guiyang, Guizhou Province, China. At the exhibition conference, the China-Myanmar Joint Training Base for Clothing Industry Program by Weihai Vocational College was awarded the China-ASEAN Successful TVET Cooperative Program, being among the fourth batch of such programs in the country.

Representatives form educational administrative bodies, international organizations, educational institutions, vocational colleges and universities, and enterprises from related industries both from China and ASEAN countries attended the event, which was conducted both offline and online, and broadcast live to 10 ASEAN member states.
The China-ASEAN Successful TVET Cooperation Program, is part of the China-ASEAN 100+100 Institutional Cooperation Flagship Programs carried out since 2018 by China Education Association for International Exchange and supported by Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges, Ministry of Education, P.R.China, in line with the Belt and Road Initiative. Under the arrangement, 20 vocational cooperative programs by universities and colleges within ASEAN member states are selected annually. As a result, the programs, although difficult to apply and get approval, are of high standard and very influential if successfully awarded.
The successful entry of the China-Myanmar Joint Training Base for Clothing Industry Program by Weihai Vocational College, fully demonstrates that the college has established long-term stable platforms of cooperation in vocational education with ASEAN countries, carrying out in-depth and practical cooperation in various forms, and playing a leading role nationally.
